International Workshop on Mobile Ad-Hoc Wireless Networks iWMANET 2012

Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a rapidly emerging field of activity in wireless networks and has received a lot of attention recently due to its dynamic topology, better targeting and convenient usage. Over the past decade, the explosive growth of data traffic for the current and emerging user services creates a number of issues in MANETs. Especially, mobility protocols, architectures and application services have posed various challenges, for improving efficiency, scalability, reliability and the development of performance modeling methods. These challenges motivate us to design and develop new protocols, architectures and services for future mobile networks. The goal of this workshop is to bring together the researchers and scientists to present and discuss the advances on protocols, solutions, and future directions in mobile ad hoc networking. In this context, papers will discuss all aspects that have an impact on the performance as depicted in research activities from professionals, academics and researchers. Suggested topics include but are not restricted to:

-Cross-layer design issues for MANETs
-Energy efficiency and energy management in MANETs
-Location discovery and location management for MANETs
-MANET applications and services
-Medium access protocols and end-to-end flow/error/congestion control for MANETs
-New and emerging technologies in MANETs
-Routing issues in MANETs
-Performance comparison study of MANET protocols
-Quality of service and security issues in MANETs

Important dates:

-Paper submission deadline: March 15, 2012

-Notifications: April 15, 2012

-Final submission: May 1, 2012 .
