Purpose

The tremendous advances in wireless communications and mobile computing, combined with the rapid evolution in smart appliances and devices, generates new challenges and problems requiring interactions between different network layers and applications in order to offer advanced mobile services.
This conference is the fourth in a series of annual conferences: two times in Montréal (QC), Canada in 2005 and 2006 and the last one in New York, USA in 2007.

We invite researchers, practitioners and others interested in wireless communications, mobile networking and ubiquitous computing to participate in the fourth IEEE International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Computing, Networking and Communications (WiMob 2008) to be held in Avignon, France, on October 12-14, 2008.
