ScopeInternet communications and services are increasingly heterogeneous and complex as applications usage and networking environments become more diverse. New models and protocols for the control and optimization of networks are highly needed to address the challenge of allocating communication resource efficiently and fairly, while coping with non-cooperative behavior. This workshop aims at developing research on control and optimization of networks, ranging from performance evaluation and optimization of general stochastic networks to more specific targets such as lower-layer functionalities in mobile networks, routing for computational grids, game theoretic approaches to access control, cooperation, competition and adversary capacities in diverse environments. The main them
